I am also gladdened to hear of SPB’s efforts to develop Qi Yuan a Retirement Home for Retired Monks. A first in Malaysia, the home is dedicated to the care and wellbeing of retired monks. Interestingly, the home is managed by non-profit organisations with the help of volunteers from the community via a ‘people-2-people platform’ innovated by Jacky. The ‘platform’ harnesses the power of people to secure the long-term sustainability of the organisation and the initiative.
