For the betterment of all
As a child, Jacky remembers succinctly his father's reminder to act with kindness and always to be mindful of the needs of others. This advice, constantly repeated, instilled in Jacky a deep sense of compassion. Jacky's insistence on innovation, his belief in synergy, his advocating of good cause and his love for Mother Earth are fueled by a deep commitment to nation-building and an instinctive "dare to be different" attitude. This is Jacky.
A Thinker
Jacky was born in 1981 and is the eldest of three siblings. He graduated with a first-class honours Bachelor of Science, Electronic and Communication Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK.
Jacky pursued a Master's in Engineering, and his discovery of a new type of metamaterial was published in various publications of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
A Son
In the ensuing years, Jacky learned the traits of the industry from his father and, with his siblings, leveraged SPB’s decades of experience as a developer. Jacky went to the ground, as he still does to this day, to speak to homeowners for a deeper understanding of their needs and wants. The point of view of a developer, homeowner and compassionate fellow human would prove instrumental in Jacky's insistence to create and establish townships that enable families to build their resilient legacies so that they are, in return, empowered to give back to society.
A Transformational CEO
In 2009, Jacky took over the reins as CEO of SPB. He is building upon the foothold laid by his parents when they established SPB in 1981. With the steadfast support of his two younger siblings, SPB is disrupting the property industry to consistently surpass customer expectations and raise the bar on industry standards.
As one of the property sector’s youngest CEOs, Jacky has led SPB to launch homes which were a first in Malacca, including some which are a first in Malaysia. Quality is a value high on SPB’s priority and the company is the first property developer in Melaka to launch the Pre-Certificate of Completion and Compliance (Pre-CCC) Inspection quality transformation programme to give homebuyers a defect-free house at the time of key collection.
He continues to insist on innovation to empower homeowners from all walks of life with a resilient and enriching life for generations to come.
A Nation-builder
Giving back has been and will always be an SPB cornerstone. Jacky is deeply committed to the betterment of all. In an unheard-of commitment by a private property developer, SPB is levelling the playing field to empower equitable and quality homeownership regardless of the strata. This isn’t just a Malaysian dream and Jacky aspires to create an impact beyond homeland shores by making quality equitable homes available across the region.

A Fellow Leader, A Father
Jacky is a member of the Malaysian Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) chapter, where he engages with well-established like-minded leaders from all over the world. He is also a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Vice-President of the Master Builders Association of Melaka.
In 2018, Jacky was conferred the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (D.M.S.M), which carries the “Datuk” title, in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka Tun Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob’s 80th birthday.
In 2020, Jacky received the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians Award 2020 (Business, Economic and Entrepreneurial Achievement) from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia. He continues to be an inspiration to young leaders.
Jacky is constantly seeking growth to be better as a person, professional and family man. He is deeply reflective and continually looks for ways to improve his own life, the lives of those around him and the communities they live in. Nothing makes Jacky happier than spending time with his wife, children, extended family members and friends.
Jacky’s life ambition is the pursuit to build a utopia where basic life necessities such as health and education are available without charge. He believes this can be a reality because together, everything is possible. “We just all need to be insistent, synergise, work toward a cause and love Mother Earth,” he jests.
